Nextome has developed an indoor location system that integrates various proprietary and third-party technologies to provide IPS-based solutions in different indoor environments characterised by specific challenges (e.g. ceiling height, multiple floors, interference, etc.). Specifically, it offers a technological solution for indoor positioning and navigation that allows the user to move towards a chosen destination within a building. The technology is patented in Europe, Singapore and the USA, highly scalable and much easier to install than competing solutions.
Nextome technology uses the smartphone’s sensors (Bluetooth, but also accelerometer and gyroscope), captures beacon signals in the environment and, by applying physical models and Artificial Intelligence algorithms, calculates the position of the user’s smartphone.
All computation is performed on the smartphone itself, so there is no need for a powerful infrastructure or a continuous Internet connection for localisation.

The use of this technology would make the working environment smarter, facilitating collaboration among colleagues and optimising the human-machine relationship.
Each user, via their own smartphone, will be able to implement an automatic notification system to interact with colleagues at chosen intervals or locate them more quickly using the positioning system.
The solution can be integrated with ultra-fast 5G connectivity for the delivery of multimedia content requiring higher bandwidth than the standard 4G network. Furthermore, the indoor location solution uses Artificial Intelligence algorithms designed to reduce electromagnetic noise, meaning companies could benefit from a more stable solution in environments such as industrial plants, storage warehouses, etc.
