The Municipality of Prato may implement forms of indirect support to businesses operating in the textile sector of the Prato industrial district by entrusting third parties with the implementation of solutions and infrastructure of strategic utility for the Prato industrial district.

The interventions must, in particular, be aimed at implementing common solutions, platforms and infrastructure, instrumental to the themes of workplace safety, business innovation and digitalization, and the attraction and acceleration of new businesses, and must be identified based on the following criteria:

• consistency with at least one of the aforementioned strategic themes;
• ability to activate the economic development potential of the territorial and functional area of the Prato industrial district, with particular regard to expected results, according to the purpose of the intervention, regarding the improvement of workplace safety standards, the strengthening of business innovation services, the creation of new businesses, the ability to foster relationships among businesses present in the territory;
• involvement, in the implementation of projects, of qualified partnerships and possible co-participation of additional entities, public or private, also in terms of co-financing of interventions, or synergy with other projects activated in the territory.
