One of the objectives of the PRISMA CTE is to ensure that the solutions, best practices, and methodologies developed by the project can be replicated in other national and European territories.

International replicability

The Municipality of Prato is the lead partner of a European project funded by the Interreg Europe program entitled SMARTY Smart SMEs for Industry 4.0, which aims to transfer and capitalize on projects and support policies for Industry 4.0 in other European regions, funding them with regional development funds. The partnership is composed of public authorities at local, regional and national level and research centers that are part of the European Industry 4.0 platform, with 6 regional and national authorities involved as project partners.

The SMARTY work plan provides for the exchange of information on best practices (policies and projects) in support of Industry 4.0. In the first phase of SMARTY (running from August 1, 2019 to July 31, 2022) thematic seminars are organized in which partners illustrate their best practices. In these seminars, the Municipality of Prato presented the PRISMA CTE, its activities and its Research and Development (R&D) projects to a qualified international audience. Through policy brokerage activities, the transfer of PRISMA actions to the regions of other partners has been facilitated, and in the second phase of the project (August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023) the partner regions will implement an action plan – to be funded through their respective ROP ERDF (European Regional Development Funds) – to transfer the selected activities.
