All activities with companies will be coordinated by an expert who will guide them throughout the entire technology transfer process. This expert will coordinate the entire Open Innovation programme (Open Innovation Manager or OIM) starting from the assessment of the companies' "state of health" (audit or technological check-up), defining the most suitable strategies to stimulate their innovation.
The OIM will identify the specific innovation driver for each company through a two-step "value discovery" process: analysis of innovation needs (technological audit) and definition of necessary actions for innovation (training seminars).
The OIM will guide companies towards the development of new Research & Experimentation (R&D) projects to be implemented with the support of the Emerging Technologies Hub (CTE) PRISMA through a guided three-step activity:
SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) of the company in terms of innovation potential;
development of new strategies, emerging from meetings with companies and verified on-site, to promote technological and organizational content enabled by emerging technologies combined with 5G;
support in developing new project ideas to be submitted to CTE PRISMA calls for proposals.
Support during the innovation journey
For all these activities, the OIM will be supported by the technical-scientific staff of the PRISMA partners, under the coordination of the heads of the three thematic laboratories and the CNR-INO laboratory:
Prof. Lorenzo Mucchi (PIN - University Centre City of Prato) will coordinate the activities of the Internet of Things Laboratory;
Prof. Tommaso Pecorella (DINFO - Department of Information Engineering, University of Florence) will coordinate the activities of the Artificial Intelligence and 5G Laboratory;
Prof. Mauro Lombardi (PIN) will coordinate the activities of the Blockchain Laboratory;
Dr. Jacopo Catani (CNR-INO) will coordinate CNR-INO activities in collaboration with the three thematic laboratories.
On the startup side, the OIM will coordinate with Eng. Salvatore Amato, president of StartupItalia, who will oversee the Open Innovation programme for new businesses.
